Feb. 5 - 29: BLACK HISTORY MONTH at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park RUNNING TO FREEDOM: FIGHTING FOR FREEDOM! An exhibit exploring Harpers Ferry's role as a Union garrison town where runaway slaves sought refuge. Second floor of the Park's John Brown Museum on Shenandoah St. in Harpers Ferry. Feb. 10-12 & 17-19: The Old Opera House in Charles Town presents The Hallelujah Girls! Written by the same playwrights that filled The Opera House with laughter with plays like "The Dixie Swim Club" and "Southern Hospitality", this play introduces us to the feisty females of Eden Falls, Georgia at a moment when they decide to shake up their lives. The action is this rollicking Southern comedy takes place in the SPA-DEE-DAH!, an abandoned church-turned-day-spa where this group of friends gathers every Friday afternoon to swap gossip and share their lives!
